[CITIES XL PLATINUM] New road design project and some discussions...

Such megacity like this needs huge roads to afford massive traffics. Basically, roads should be designed within the grid-lines and less cross should be built.    Therefore! I placed an urban expressway that connects with residence area and industrial (offices and factories) area. There are only three crosses that exist on the urban expressway. Before the construction of this urban expressway, there were only two approaches from residential area to industrial zone (subway and normal road). However, the construction has lead citizens to commute faster than they used to. Furthermore, some experimental road designs have been implemented in this city. INTERCHANGES WITH RAMPS! AND Still, citizens face traffic jams, but compare to those of the past...these are nothing at all๐Ÿ˜‚. but I'm still considering the alternative to the design of interchanges. [TRIP] One-day field trip to Hoa Binh

I'd binh  been to Hoa Binh on the 4th of September for the ESS field experiment! I interviewed local people about to what extent has dam influence their life and the standard of living for the local community and took a water sample from the reservoir and the river. Hoa Binh is 76 km far from Hanoi, so it's nearby Hanoi. This city (province) is very well known for its minority community but also the biggest hydroelectric dam among all in Southeast Asia! The day I'd been to Hoa Binh was actually 'The independence day of Vietnam', so it was difficult to find interviewees. I aimed to interview 50 people, but I could only interview approximately 30 people by the end. Floating houses on 'Da river'... I could see some locals fishing around here. I asked fishers how many fishes are caught on a daily basis. They answered that compare to the time when there was no dams, the amount of fishes being caught has decreased dramatically...
